How to slow your burner down???

    I am trying to burn onto my blank CD's at 1x however, using the more common programs such as 120%, Nero, CloneCD, BlindWrite/Read Suite, RecordNOW Max, the minimum it will let me burn is 4x. Is there any way to alter this?

    I have had this happen to me. It may be the brand of blanks I was using (can't remember, but they were cheap).

    It may be coincidence, but when I did a re-install of Win2k3 server all was well again.

    I think Padus Discjuggler and CDRWIN5 let you do that regardless... btw... why not post this up in CDR? Much more effective that way hehe

    I know Roxio can burn at 1x and the HP program My CD can burn at 1x. You could try one of them. It is harder to get 1x CD burning as the Min most people like is 8x or 16x.
