How to split a mov file into 2 parts?

    Hello, I have a mov file that is too big to fit onto a cd. I simply want to split it in two. I have scoured the net and the forums, but I have only found applications for splitting avi and mpeg files, not mov. Any body have suggestions?

    It can be done with Quicktime Pro. Another option would be to split the file using a standard file splitter such as HJ Split(freeware). Only problem with that is you'll need to join the parts in order to play.

    Thanks for the help. Sounds like a hassle to join the files together to play...Any one else have ideas?
