    I just tried splitting an avi with dv-tool, but they didn't accept avi's yet, and the file was corrupt when splitted. I want to burn an avi to cd, but I need to split it. What program should I use?

    I found out how to use Virtual Dub, that worked, but the sound wasn't correct, it was a ten-second delay, why? How can I get it right?

    I have found this problem can be solve by using the following options....

    Audio = interleaving every 1ms, full processing mode
    Video = direct stream copy

    Then save your File.avi again as another .avi, eg file2.avi

    This 'new' copy can then be split using DVDx without the audio sync problem.

    you may find that the new avi has grown to around 1.2 - 1.6 gig, this will not be a problem when u encode the 2 new files for svcd in tmpgenc.
