How to Stealth Patch Your 360 Games (Idiot-Proof Guide)

Alright now I should have done this before making my How to Burn a 360 Game guide first since this is what you want to do in the beginning. So here we go- How to stealth patch your 360 games.

Things you will need-
1. .iso file. (.dvd file optional)
2. ABGX tutorial ( http://forums.afterdawn.com/t.cfm/f-152/new_abgx_setup_tutorial-809679/ )
3. ABGX (download here- http://abgx360.net/download.html )

Directions-

1. Have your .iso and .dvd file (if you have it) ready in your desktop or in the same folder. Read this to find out how to backup your original games. http://www.360mods.net/index.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=1191
2. Download and install ABGX.
3. Start up ABGX. Now you will need to tweak the settings. Using the tutorial, do so.
4. Now that you have all of the settings changed, let's check the 360 game.

OK I will be using Too Human as an example (Protip- click the pictures to make them bigger)-

5. Start up ABGX again (if you have closed it).
6. Open your .iso file-

7. Your .iso file should now be selected-

8. Now click the AutoFix tab and then in the bottom click the huge button that says "Launch". It's the one button that goes from blue to green as shown-

9. Now a new window will pop up. Just let it do its thing and watch in amazement. The first thing it does is it checks if the database needs updating. Then it checks the .dvd file. If there is not one then the program will make one for you.

What you want to see is all green/blue. If there is red then something might be wrong. If there is yellow in the verification failed then that means that the game is not yet in the database. You will have to wait until it is.

Alright so as you can see everything is green/blue. Now do what the program says and press any key to exit out.

Finally all you need to do is to burn the game. Follow this guide to do so-

SECTION II: How to Check if Your Burned 360 Games are Stealth Patched-

Have some games burned on a disc that you forgot to check if they are stealth patched properly? Don't want to rip the .iso? Don't have the HDD space? No worries, ABGX can check the data from disc.

OK I will be using Afro Samurai (or Alfo Samurai as it says lol) as an example (Protip- click the pictures to make them bigger)-

(MAKE SURE YOU HAVE SET UP THE SETTINGS IN ABGX AS MENTIONED PREVIOUSLY.)
1. Open up ABGX.
2. Click AutoFix-

3. Click the drop-down menu in the Input box-

4. Click DVD Drive-

5. Select the DVD Drive you are using to read the DVD-

6. Click the big button in the bottom that turns from blue to green-

7. Now let ABGX do its thing. You will want to see all blue and green- no red.


And that's it. If it's not stealth patched properly then you will need to rip the .iso and run it through ABGX so that the program can fix it.

Finally all you need to do is to burn the game. Follow this guide to do so-

ok, i think there is chance i could have missed it but you don't say or show what the tweaks are in abgx360. The default settings won't do, can you update it, i suspect you were planning to put it in and just forgot, either that or i missed it.

Just thought I'd ask - this method makes iXtreme 1.5 backups, right? The ones that have DMI, PFI and the Video partition?

Correct. These backups will work with any iXtreme I believe- but to be safe just update your iXtreme to the latest if it is not.

Im confused - If you are making physical copies of games where you have the disc and rip with a kreon drove is it still necessary to do this? I have read somewhere that doing this even when kreon checker says its good could muck up your backups if they are ripped and not downloaded, is this true?

 

it doesn't mess it up. It just changes your backup to mirror that of one stored in the database.

Like I said in another post. It's a matter of choice. If I have the physical disc that I use to make a backup with my kreon drive, and there is no kreon error, then I do not use abgx because it is perfect.

the only two games that cant be stealthed are nba 2k9 and skate 2.. it says verification failed, autofix failed, stealth is still unverified.

 

Just a small folow up question, and sorry if its said and I missed it.

I have the IXtreme 1.5 (well currently getting sorted to my UK 360)

on the patchin, I have several 360 games from the US (I have a UK PAL 360) since I work going back and forth and I was stupid enough not to read if they were region free.... (yea dumb me, I blame jet lag)

will the patch of my back up allow me to play them on my UK 360 or on my next run out should I just buy a US 360?

hey i know how to do the games and everthing but i cant get this abg thing to work i cant even get the program downloaded with this step any other way .when i get it download my computer dont know what this is help!!!

 

What do you mean "my computer dont know what this is"?

The download is a .rar file. You use any rar extracting program like WinRar to extract its contents. Then just install ABGX.
