How To Transfer Data From PC to PC With Router

    I just brought a new computer and i alreay have a router. I was wondering if there is some way that i could transfer may old data like music games movies etc to the new computer without have to put them on a blank dvd or cd.

    Create a network so you can transfer files between your computers....do you know how to create a network?

    Having both computers connected to the router, (for both) go into My Network Places. Click on Setup a Home or Small Office Network. Follow the prompts, and make sure you choose "uses residential gateway" to connect to the internet...should be the center choice. Also, make sure the network name (default is MSHOME) are the same on both computers. Disable the Windows Firewall after it's all done...but make sure you allow File and Printer sharing.

    ok i got it, what about my bookmarks from Firefox i cant seem to find where there sored.

    C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

    Or you could just do bookmarks/manage bookmarks/file/export...
