Can anyone tell me what upgrade/downgrade path I would need to take in order to go from 3.30 OE-A to the newest and most stable firmware? According to Dark Alex's site the newest being 3.90 m33 I guess. Unless of course you guys suggest a specific firmware other than 3.90 which is better. Oh, and I have the orginal phat PSP by the way.

Thanks and sorry I missed that thread coming in, my bad.

So is there an easlier way to bump my firmware up to 3.9 without having to go through all of those updates or is that the only way?

Anyway, thanks again for the prompt response.

    Sounds like it. :)

By the way, looking at your updgrade path in your sig, did you actually brick your PSP on those occasions? That's been my biggest fear all along. So, those unbrickers actually work huh?

I've bricked my phat about 50 times by flashing and making different custom themes. With pandoras you have no worries. Just make a copy of your nand when you get custom firmware and you can recover from anything.

Well, so long as I can unbrick my phat if it comes to that, then at least I know I wont lose my PSP in the process.

I just did the first part for the OE update by putting the ONE_STOP_UPDATE folder into my root. But when I go to the memory stick and try to see if the updater is there I get nadda. Do I also have to put a 150.PBP file into the root as well for this to work because even though the directions don't say it, I see one in his screenshot in the root.

Scratch that, even with the 150.PBP I still see nothing. Aren't these supposed to go into the PSP/GAME150 or game330 folders instead?

format your memstick in the psp and start over. Drag the contents over to your root and start from there. Make sure your not using a fake memory stick.

Ok, well I was successful up through firmware 3.52 M33-4 and the MUX 2.0 update.

However, I run into a problem when I get to the next step where the screen shows all the available firmware updates you can select. Per the directions on the forum I select the firmware I want to update to which is 3.90 M33-2 and press "X". Once the card access light stops blinking I go to Exit. That's where I run into a problem though because I get a message which tells me it can't locate a 3.90 PBP file. The direction state nothing about having to download a 3.90 PBP file.

    Any input or suggestions?
