    Hi all,
    Quick question:

I have a xbox with a 80Gb HD(softmodded by a friend) and I want to upgrade the HD to 120Gb.

Is there a tutorial that shows how to do this? All the ones that I find are showing how to mod a xbox, but none show how to just upgrade the HD.

    Is it complicated???

    Thanks!

hi chap i have been doing sxb slackware linux for xbox.
but i have never opened my xbox my latest sxb i uploaded yesterday
i have added an option so you can connect pcide hd and pcdvd burners.
using an cheap usb2ide converter and attach pc decvices as above
as external xbox hd and burner,i done this so i do not have to open
my xbox and only install on external usb2ide devices.

So no more hot swapping etc and xbox stays as is.

    Heres what you need,

XBOX HDM (just google it, can be found a million places)
    YOUR xbox eeprom.bin
Your xbox E:\ Tdata and Udata folders (you can aquire by ftp)
    Your msdash
A virgin hacked 007, mechasssault, splintercell gamesave and the game that goes with it.

Once you have all these things, reply and ill take you the rest of the way.

I spent some time playing around with 'xboxhdm' and figured it out. Turns out that I didnt need to re-softmod my xbox. All I did was copy all of my C and E drives from my current (80gb) xbox harddrive and use the 'backup' eprom to lock the new 160gb harddrive. I copied the C and E drives back to the 160Gb using the 'xboxhdm' program and I was done!

Much easier than expected. Thanks for all of your help and tutorials!
