Ok, I feel like a "mental" case and this is probaly a stupid ??, but are there instructions for the use of Fab DVD decrypter anywhere? I downloaded the program, and read the little instruction it came with. Now, I am confused about this. It says its so...easy(this is the first hint...it isn't) Just insert the movie and a blank disc...Well I have a dvd drive/burner in one and a CD drive in another, how do I insert both discs at the same time? Normally I decrypt the movie first then it pops out then I put in a blank. I am confused! Of course this all has to do with LOD...trying to back this film up is going to push be "over the edge" anyway if anyone could explain FAB dvd decrypter in "simpleton" terms I'd be extremly grateful. thanks~~

I ripped Lords Of Dogtown flawlessly using DVDFab Decrypter.
Just open the program and select the drive of the DVD you want to rip. Then, choose a target - the folder where you would like to save the files. Now click start. It will then begin the ripping process. It will let you know when it is finished. When it is finished, you'll see a DVD folder where you chose the target. In this folder is an AUDIO_TS folder and a VIDEO_TS folder. Open up DVD Shrink and choose the AUDIO_TS. Shrink will begin to analyze the DVD you have saved. Once it has been analyzed, you'll then be able to choose what you want on the DVD. I backed up the main movie only by re-authoring the DVD and got 100% compression. When you have selected what you want to include on the DVD, just click on backup and it will ask you where to save the ISO (image) file. Choose a destination, click OK and you're all set.

that great advice, I usually create a file with the same name as the movie then have Fab place the rip into that folder Roxio and Nero should be able to burn that file but using shrink will allow you to remove some elements for better quality compression and playback then burn with your program of choice. By the way fab is the only ripping program freeware out there that can handle the newest protections.

NEVERMIND! I figured it out with a little help from a very cool site that showed how to use FAB, frame by frame. Once I used that program, then switched to SHRINK, I was able to make a PERFECT backup of Lords of Doggtown. All is well~

attar - Yes, you open the AUDIO_TS folder. I don't know why, but that's where all the VOB and IFO files are stored. If you choose the VIDEO_TS folder, you'll get an error message.

    js78 ,
You are incorrect as the VIDEO_TS folder has the Movie files. The reason for the AUDIO_TS folder is som of the older Players somehow needed that folder to work

When I ripped LOD and opened it with Shrink, I chose the AUDIO_TS folder and it worked.

When I ripped it all of the files are in the VIDEO_TS folder. How your got in AUDIO_TS I have not idea but all of the files should be in VIDEO_TS. All You really have to do is click on the Movie Title and Shrink will figure it out. But the Video files are supposed to be in the video folder and the audio folder should be empty
