I have converted an avi file to Mpeg 2 using TMPGenc. However it has split the audio and visual into two seperate files. How do I convert these files to DVD compliant video files ready for burning? I am new to using this software.
No...am I missing something? It just converts files to mpeg 1 or mpeg 2. If you select the DVD convert option it splits the original file into 2 seperate files (audio & visual)- hence the problem. I am trying to find an alternative to DivXtoDVD to convert files. A DVD authoring programme will render a video file to DVD compliant complete with menus etc and auto burning.
Tmpegnc dvd author turns mpg files into a dvd files. You select the mpg, pick out menus ect. When you are done you will have a folder with the vob ifo and bup files. You might be thinking of a different program. Also what tmplate are your using in Tmpgenc. Usually it doesnt split the audio and video.
You obviously have the commercial version or a different version to the one I have. Anyway I've managed to convert the file to one mpeg2 file using TMPGenc, but the result is virtually identical to using DiVXtoDVD. The problem is that the movie does not run smoothe when there is much motion on screen eg a pan shot - as though every other frame has been removed. Admittedly the file is heavily compressed but I have another similar file without this effect. Any ideas?
