How to watch blu ray discs on my hdtv using my computer that has a blu ray drive?

    this is on Yahoo

    I just got a new 1080p toshiba tv and also a new dell computer with built in blu ray reader/writer. I want to know how I can watch the blu ray movies on my new tv. Do I need an hdmi cable or can i just use regular monitor cables?

    you can use regular monitor cables but you will get sound out of the laptop speakers not the tv....hdmi cable on the other hand is better quality and both sound and video is transfered to the tv.

    your choice?
