TheBox PVR How can I watch PPV events on my TheBox PVR? I have read previous posts but am not sure I have the answer. I tried to watch the recent Amir Khan fight but only got a picture asking me to pay for it. i.e. an advert. As said, I know this has been covered in other threads but could I please ask for simple instructions as what to do for the next live event. (what is the name of the channel)? Ta.
It was probably over before you tuned in!! The PPV stuff comes up when it is being broadcast on the PPV channel, the channel is usually blank when there is nothing on though. Did you put the channel on when the fight was on? and if so what did you get?
It normally displays a V*rgin Media page. When trying for the boxing it gave me a page telling me to pay for it. (Don't recall seeing a PPV channel). I think it was the live events channel? Not certain, as I quickly plugged my V*rgin proper box in and payed for it, so I didn't miss it! Could do without having to do this in the future. Is it just a case of rescanning that day then waiting for the live events channel to work? I am pretty sure thats what I did this time though. Has anyone else out there got a TheBox PVR and managed to watch PPV? If so please advise. Ta. (I am in east london).
When the next event is coming up, check one of the TV**** channels in the uk & it should be on one of them. In Ireland its on the PPV ch@nnel.
As said, I checked all the possible named channels this time, but it did not appear. I am assuming a rescan that day might help, as you are suggesting that it should appear without having to do anything else? Are you certain it works on the TheBox PVR? Anyone got it to work?
At the moment the ch@nnel will be blank as there is nothing on at the moment. When there is an event coming up (boxing, wrestling etc) it will show the previews on one of the TV**** channels, usually a week before the event.
So it should just start broadcasting automatically? If so, I will give it another go and get back to you. Ta.
