Bought a new computer with Vista, getting ready to install Nero 6. Just wanted to check. I don't want bring down my whole OS. I have heard stories about installing older applications and it crashing vista (or Vista not able to handle it rather) soooooo.....just thougth I'd check.
I think Nero is compatible with Vista from some versions 7 up, you might just be out of luck with version 6.
Why bother with nero at all.. especially an obsolete version with well known fista problems. You can do everything with freeware that nero does, usually faster and better and without the bloat aspects (not to say.. nero6.. cracked perchance as they don't sell it) ..except the slideshow maker which for some reason the nero6 version is excellent.. and the HD/dv capture side of 8.. again very good, but IMHO not enough to justify all the rest of the bloat and unused/pointless functions.
