Is there a reason I would get an error message on an HP disc but not on a verbatim. I was told by my local "computer guy" that the HP discs were better but I have been getting error messages and half burned discs on my HP today and not my Verbatims...I keep getting error messages and discs I am having to throw away?! Just wanted some opinions on things
Most HP disks are mfr by CMC Mag or Phillips which are not exactly consistent in producing quality media. http://www.videohelp.com/dvdmedia.p...&hits=25&country=&search=Search+or+List+Media You would be better off sticking with Verbatim, which seems to give you no problem. Try checking the firmware on your burner and make sure it is up to date. This sometimes can be the cause of burn failure. Make sure you are not burning those HP disks too fast, with low quality media it is better to stay at a slower burn rate such as 4X.
Well I think? It's a mixed metaphor, message problem, on some 'selling sites' they say HP and Verbatim use the same Lightscribe media.. Others have found variables........either way you've posted your question; on the wrong forum. (no doubts the Mods' will re-allocate it?) regards g.
How is this the wrong Forum?! It is movies I am trying to back up on DVD-R so I figured this would be the correct forum...Or did I miss something. I am still new to AD. I apologize if I said something wrong
It's okay, you could post it in the Media Forum or this is a Newbie Forum and takes all kinds of questions. No apology needed and welcome to the forum.
I gotta go with Arniebear on this one; welcome, but being new, ain't no excuse. The forums: are there, for folks to participate in........{go and jump in with them media Wolfe's} apology's for any conflict. g.
