I am looking to upgrade to this model of dvd burner. I was wondering what other users advice is on this burner. I am really wanting to put some of my old VHS tapes onto DVD and this looks like it would be a great burner to have for that specific use. I am currently using an Iomega burner, not sure of the exact model at this time, I am not around the burner. I have a replacement plan so upgrading would not be a problem for me. ANy feedback is greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

I myself don't care much for HP's burners. I don't feel they perform near as well as some other makes such as Pioneer 107D/A07, Plextor PX-708A/712A or the Lite On 8xx series.

    My .02 :)
