HP DVD-ROM Rebooting

    Hi-

    I'm having a problem with my HP Pavillion's DVD-ROM drive. Every time I try to play cds in the DVD-ROM drive it reboots my computer. Any suggestions to resolve this issue?? Or, is the DVD-ROM drive shot??

    HP Pavillion
    Pentium 4 CPU
    DVD-ROM
    CD-RW
    Floppy
    Partioned 60 GB HDD (HP's Doing)
    Netgear Wireless b/g PCI card
    512MB Memory
    USB 2.0

    i presume it doesn't do that with the cd rom drive??

    Nope- just with the dvd rom.
