I'm new here but have been a fan of this site for a while and learned a lot of good info here. anyway my HP 740b stopped burning DVDs recently and I'm wondering if it's something fixable or the drive needs replacing. I've tried burning with Nero 7 and 9, Imgburn (which will make CDRs fine) and it will copy with Smartripper. Just not burn. Consider using Verbatim brand disks instead (but not the cheaper Verbatim 'Value series') Newer firmware version listed here. http://www.firmwarehq.com/HP/dvd740b/files.html
