HP DVDWriter 640c? Bought New Comp and Won't BURN Anything..Please Help

    Hi All...

    Well I posted a message in the wrong thread in DVD+-R Forum so I am sorry about reposting...

    My problem is my NEW Comp I just bought won't burn DVD+R's or DVD-R's or even ANY CD's at all.

    Plz help...

    does the drive show up in My Computer? is there an exclamation point by it in the hardware manager?

    If it is a brand new computer then I would suggest calling HP for technical support with the burner. The tech support is completely free and they will be able to find out what the problem is. I've always had good experiences using HP's support. There # is 1-800-474-6836.
