Im looking at purchasing the HP Pavilion laptop dv4-1220us from Newegg and had a question about the battery. When looking at the pictures i noticed an item that looked like a battery that would be attached to the back. Am i correct or is this part of the ac plug in ?

I would rather not have to worry about losing my battery by having to plug it in every time to the back of my laptop...
Any idea if its the battery or not?

OK, took the sarcasm out of my reply.

I don't what is depicted was necessarily "accessories".

Probably more like "what's included". Laptops are typically NOT shipped with the battery installed.

So basically i just pop open the slot for the battery and plug it in and would never see the part unless it needed replacing...
