I have an HP Pavillion DV6(7)00 laptop. I have a weird problem with the card reader- I can stick my Memory Stick Pro Duo (psp) into it but I cant get it out because it is so far in (I cant even touch it)! It reads the memory stick, so it should be there. There is no apparent eject button. Any solutions? Thanks
You made the mistake of not getting the adapter for it. I have read about this problem before, but I can't remember how the posters got it out.
You aren't making any sense. You put the memory stick duo in your card reader. It's stuck, because you didn't use the adapter. What is the status now? Is the memory stick still in your card reader? Try this. If you have the adapter, put it into the reader slot. Wiggle it gently, and push at the same time, until you can't push it anymore. Then, pull it out, and the memory stick should come out. Then, put the stick in the adapter the proper way, next time. If you don't have an adapter, get one.
I have lost the USB adaptor for my memory stick. Sorry for not being clear. I can get my memory stick out using tweasers but I don't think that's quite good enough. Thanks for helping though.
I think there is a small lever inside that is holding the memory stick in. If you can get the tweezers to get that memory stick out, then you should be ok. You are going to need an adapter for the memory stick, so find one at Walmart, or wherever. If not sold separately, buy a new memory stick, that includes the adapter.
