I installed XP on this laptop, but I haven't been able to find any soundcard drivers for it. HP basically doesn't support this hardware with XP on it (it came with Vista HP). HP has listed the driver for Vista as IDT HD Audio codec(sigmatel chip if I'm not mistaken) which is different to what the HP guys said Conexant chip.
Go to the Sigmatel website and see if there are XP reference drivers. If there are you should be able to use them. If not, you're probably SOL unless someone haced a driver for XP.
