Petrified but willing to learn as fast as possible, please can anyone offer helpful advice in 'fly me down' language? I have the above pc, with a TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-L532A (I was told it's a dual layer, whatever that is.) It's about a year old and I have never considered using the DVD write facility until now. I want to backup a personal dvd collection. The only point is, I want to end up with playable DVD's to use on a standard domestic unit....as if I just bought it from off the shelf at asda or tesco, etc. I have asked about for software recommendations and this is what I have 'arrived' at, and how I propose to use it, if my understanding is correct. DVD Decrypter to remove 'RCE Copyright protection'when needed. DVD Shrink to compress the files to fit onto a standard 4.7GB DVD/R Nero 7 To do the burn? I have tried many times with the above in all sorts of combinations, each time praying that THIS TIME IT'S GOING TO WORK.....one spindle later, coffe mats in abundance, I am absoflippinglootley fed up. Each time, everything whirs up spins, clicks like I think it should, progress bar says everything is going great and then right at the last ten seconds of noise I get, error burning blah, blah, blah.
