I have a HP multifunction printer series 2610. I have had the same tri-color cartridge(#97)in it for 2 months. The printer is about 5 months old. The cartridge still is about half full but the display now says the it is not the correct one. How can it not be! It's the same one that has been working for a while. I have taken it out and cleaned the contacts with alcohol and it still says the cartridges is not compatible with this printer. Does anyone have some input?

uninstall the printer software, use the hp scrub to remove all hp info out of the registry, defrag your hd than reload the software
