ok i have an HP printer connected to an HP computer with windows xp and whenever we try to print a document it just stays in the queue without printing...

we have checked connections, tried test printing, recalibrated, checked ink, but still nothing will print

we were having trouble reinstalling the printer and not even sure if that will help

once again any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated

    1. Uninstall the printer from windows
    2. If its a USB printer, boot up without the printer connected and then connect the printer and the Add Hardware thingy should pop up... try the Windows drivers first
    3. If the Windows doesnt have the drivers, then use the HP drivers
    4. Make sure you try to print a test page from the Control Panel - Printers thing before you run off and use Word or something like that.
    5. Have a look over the advanced settings espeically regarding timeouts and spooling :)

PM JSRife. He has all the answers. :) j/k

Better to post this in the HP Forums. I frequent them, because I have 2 HP printers and an HP scanner.
