    Hi
On my pc (PII/266, 192 RAM, Win98) I have installed a HP 8200e (USB) with HP Record Now 3.5 as SW.
When I try to burn a cdr it fails. The error msg are:
    Disc Read Error - Sense:03 ASC:73 ASCQ:03 (Command:2A)
    HP CD-WRITER+8200(F:)ATAPI(1.0F),
    PX.DLL - 1.1.0.297,
    PXMAS.DLL - "version number",
    PXWAVE.DLL - "version number",
    OLEAUT32.DLL - "version number",
    MSVBVM60.DLL - "version number",
    MSCOMCTL.OCX - "version number",
    MSCOMCT2.OCX - "version number",
    PXHelper.VXD - "version number",

Any ideas of how to solve this? I have a USB modem installed on the pc. Can it be the problem? When I burn I close every other running application. I also select the lowest burning speed. I have also tried NERO and EASY CD CREATOR.
    Nothing helps

Eliminate PXHelper (driver of the HP software) and re-try with Nero.

not to be mean, but get a new computer. Win 98 was not designed that well for USB support and a lot of newer technology does not work well with it. Most likely its Windows. Buy a new computer if you can afford it and upgrade at least to win2k pro.

I can tell you right now, HP burners *hate* Nero, so it will be of little use.
