So yea, I was at a surplus store and saw a HT Sub woofer for $10 so I decided I'd buy it to hook up to my PC. I have those thin computer speakers so bass is almost non-existent. So I cut/stripped an old headphone wire and stripped the bass speaker wires. So I figured out that it worked properly as long as I had the red/black headphone wire to one speaker wire and the white to the other speaker wire. It produced great sound when I had it plugged into my headphone jack in my speakers. But when I plugged it into my 7.1 soundcards center/sub woofer jack it produced audio so low I had to press my ear to it to make out the sound. Dunno what to do. How to I do this so I can actually listen to the sub and speakers at the same time?
Most things don't have much bass. You can use the windows audio setup to set the sub to be more powerfull than the rest of the speekers. Also, does the internal amp in the subwoofer have any power adjustment knobs or anything?
