huge problem with convertxtodvd. help please

ive been using convertxtodvd for as long as i can remember. my problem is i can not convert .avi files anymore. i put one in convertxtodvd and after it finished it burned and i tried to play BUT i didn't even get close to playing. i looked at the back of the dvd and it looks as if there is only a half of video on it. now i figured it might be the .avi so i tried 2 more, same thing. now thinking it was my drive, i borrowed my friends, same thing. so now i just tried to copy a dvd to dvd and that worked perfectly as normal using nero. also i tried xilsoft converter too. i also tried making an iso with dvdskink, same thing. i need some help anyone else have this problem?

edit: ok so i just tried another one and it still looks as if it burned half but it plays on my computer but did not play on my xbox 360 or dvd player. could this be a software issue?

 

Have you changed disc brands?

 

nope i only use sony,verbatim and fuji. currently using sony. but i think i found the problem. and i feel pretty stupid too lol. i think i was burning as PAL instead of NTSC lmao. soo thanks and sorry for wasting your time lol see yaa p.s. feel free to laugh at me.
