I recentally posted this in a DVD shrink forum, but it applies to other programs then just dvd shrink. Recentally I reformated my computer, and before hand it would take about 25-35 mins to back up a dvd, Now its taking upwards of an hour? is there something that I can change to fix it back? then there was a reply to check out this link: http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/FAQ.htm I did the following in that link to try and fix the speed reduction. I also uninstalled another dvd player that was on there, I have a labtop with only 1 dvd drive. Each time I restart the computer, the DVD drive will reinstall itself and the secondary IDE drive reinstalls basically resetting it to where it was before I uninstalled and restarted. And due to this happening, my Encoding times have almost doubled.
im sorta new to this whole thing, but when I started up the computer it said it was installing the new Hardware. I don't know if maybe I don't have the specific IDE drivers needed? How could i find that out?
hi if you only loaded windows xp pro and nothing else then you need to load drivers like sound, and ide drivers for cdroms you will have these on your motheboard disc that came with your pc or if not go to hte makers website for the motherboard and download them and install
Yeah, I reloaded it.. I checked my driver CD that came with the labtop from "IBUYPOWER" But no locations on any IDE or CD/DVD drivers... Any other ideas?
