Unfortunately, I made the mistake of getting an Alienware desktop. The problem I have now is that Windows is booting in an infinite loop. I have read the other threads with this problem, but what makes my problem different out of all those other ones, is that whenever I try going into safe mode or any other mode, the laptop just shuts off. Any suggestions? Thanks - Ichigoman
I'm actually trying that right now. Hopefully it will work out. It may sound crazy, but I put toothpaste on the heatsink, which has prevented the laptop from cutting off. It's been on for about 20 minutes now, as opposed to the 3 minutes it would be on before it shuts off.
After reformatting, the computer restarted saying that when it rebooted, installation would continue. But it didn't. What happened?
If you just bought your computer then it should be under warranty. Send it back to get it repaired or get your money back. BTW, did you get a laptop or a desktop???
i 2nd that as is it a desktop or a laptop especially when you put toothpaste on the heatsink presuming cpu heatsink?
It's an Alienware Sentia m3200. Alienware is known for its horrible warranty reputation as well as not fixing anything, and even damaging your laptop even more. And my warranty is done for =\
Everytime I turn on the laptop now, it shuts off after 5 minutes and overheats like crazy. The fan is running also. Any suggestions?
