Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.

    http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=4

    • Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
    • Click the Scan for Vundo button.
    • Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
    • You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
    • Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
    • When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
    • Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log in a reply to this thread.

Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove. In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button" when VundoFix appears upon rebooting.

(prior to using hijackthis, please rename it from hijackthis.exe to scanner.exe, then run it as scanner.exe and create and post the log. Some malware is now programmed to hide from hijackthis.exe.)

I don’t have vundofix on this computer, so these are some general comments, I’ll get specific details for you tomorrow if you need them. If you right click on the white area in the vundofix screen, you will start a process where you answer 1or 2 questions and are then able to add files to be deleted.

Let vundofix scan. Then right click the white area, answer the questions and get to the screen where you add files. Add the two file paths you gave me, close the add screen and then let vundofix go through its fix routine. If it comes back with additional files it cant delete, try running the program again –run it 2 or 3 times one after the other and see if you can get it to a point it will come back clean.

Your new log is cut off so I cant tell if this line is still there:
    O23 - Service: DomainService - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\system32\klgigbuo.exe (file missing)

If it is, please let hijackthis fix it.

I am pretty sure this is a Trojan:
    O23 - Service: Remote Access Session (raswvc) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\Help\mrasvc.exe

    Please submit the file here:
    http://virusscan.jotti.org/

If it comes back bad, you will need to delete it. The way I like to get those is using a program called sdfix, but it is not updated for that one.

This talks about using hijackthis to delete a file on reboot:
    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial42.html#delreb

If it is bad, try that process on the C:\WINDOWS\Help\mrasvc.exe file. Then after reboot have hijackthis fix the line.

Rename hijackthis.exe to scanner.exe and run and post a new log.

    Thanks.
    bc

(Also, because of the trojan, if you have used the computer for financial activities, it would be wise to change your passwords. Some helpers will also suggest that once a trojan has been on a machine, it is a question of whether all the problems have been found and they recommend reformatting rather than fixing.)

Also, have you ran up-to-date Malware scans?

Run a anti-virus scan from Microtrend, they let you remove infected files for free with their online scanner. You can use it here:
    http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

After that scans, delete what it finds and then I would recommend downloading and running Ad-Aware. You can download it here:
    http://www.filepedia.com/desktop_software/desktop_security/ad-aware.cfm

Be sure to uncheck the "Scan now" option when its done installing. Let it update and then run a full scan. Delete what it finds.

Once you have done both what's mentioned above then install and run CCleaner. You can get CCleaner here:
    http://www.filepedia.com/desktop_software/desktop_security/ccleaner.cfm

CCleaner does some of the same stuff as DiskCleanup (but more effiicently) and it will clean out your registry. Run it after you run both HouseCall and Ad-Aware.

After that rescan with HjT and post the log.
