First,... I didnt't no where to post this so I posted it here. Now,... I have tried using several progs in the decrypting and transcoding and I cant seem to get this movie to mp4 to be used on my iPod. I first used DVD decrypter and Videora. Videora finishes early with a stackdump file and a small corrupt mp4. I then tried to use DVDFAB/VOBMERGE and 3GP, 3GP literally crashes my whole system to the point I have to reboot. I tried transcoding each VOB separately and then work just fine. I then merged the very first two movie VOBs and then tried transcoding those,... that worked. So I went ahead and merged the very first 3 movie VOBs and thats when it doesnt work. I thought is was something with the thrid VOB so I merged the last 4 and then tried to transcode, same problem. So I am thinking it has something to do with size? Now check this out,... there are 7 movie VOBs for that movie. 8-1 through 8-7. 8-0 is the DVDs main menu. By accident I initially added it along with the 7 movie VOBs and then transcoded. It worked but the sound was all screwed up. How is that? Do you guyz have any idea of whats going on with this movie? I read a couple of the threads here about other having trouble with "The Island". I cant remember wther it was here or some where else but I read to use VOB Blanker too. I tried that after using DVDFAB and it didnt work. Please help. Of all the movies I have, I really want this one on my iPod. I have be trying for days now. Really frustrating. Thanks in advance.

If possible, try another movie. I mean first, I used DVD Decrypter to decrypt my dvd. Then after my movie is decrypted, I put the movie to Videora to convert it into an mp4 format. It works fine with me.

So I'm guessing its the movie that has some problems...?

I've already made several movies to MP4's. It's this one movie that I am having a problem with. I cant figure it out.

did you bought or you just rented it? Cuz some of the video stores have some security law that makes copying impossible. I mean they put something inside the cd that literally denies any decrypting it.

Anyway, my dvd decrypter no longer works now. I had no idea why.

I bought it. It's mine. I have bought stuff from them before with no problems. Its this movie. I have to admit that I initially tried to rip from a rented copy of this movie along time ago and it didnt work. So I bought it cheap and tried again,... same thing.

Newer movies have encoding that DVD Decrypter can't decode by itself, you need to purchase [or at least use the trial of] Any DVD [I believe thats the program, check first] Then you should be able to decrypt without problems.

I would recommend Cucusoft DVD to iPod Converter or PQ DVD to iPod Converter. ;-)

Schwaber, what method are you using to convert your DVD's? The DVD Decrypter and Videora combo doesn't support subtitles if that is what you are using.
