i am starting to copy x box games and need some help 1.I am thinking of getting Xecuter 2.3B lite is this a good chipor should i get a different one 2.I have downloaded evolution x ver _beta_1.8.3285 whats the easiest way to get these files to my x box because someone told me i had to put a pc dvd drive in my x box (i cant be botherd). And do I even need it or will the bios with my chip be good enough 3.I got quite a few files when i downloaded evolution x what files do i have to burn to a cd to get on my x box and how fast should i burn 2.4x or 4x. 4.what does flashed mean? 5.I have heard of evolution x "dashbord" is this hardware needed to run evolution x 6.will i need anymore hardware/sofware other than the ones listed here -DVD burner (4x) -NERO 6 (free downloaded version) -evolution x -craxtion -x box -RJ-45 ethernet cable -mod chip(not got one yet but know i need one) PLESE HEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLPPPPP
1) the chip seems pretty good, i dont have it, but many use it 2)You have to make a boot disk and load it on your xbox. You dont have to put a pc drive in your xbox, you just have to find the right media. also you do have to have the dashboard installed unless you wont be able to ftp and copy your games. 3)Burn the readme file, default.xbe, skin folder, and evox config. settings text. You might have to make a dummy file if your xbox cant read it. 4) flashed is when you put a bios on your chip...preferably the newest 5) when people say Evolution X, it means the same thing as the Evolution X dashboard. 6)You might also need - FlashFXP to FTP WinLPC to flash the chip and i think thats it.

Look at Herbs the Mod! Congrats. lcarbutt-ftp is file transfer protocol. Its what you do when you connect to your xbox with a cable and flashfxp to your computer to Transfer files(games,emulators,movies,etc.) the chip will do first youll flash your bios(search function).use 4981 or m7 next youll put on a dash like evox(i recommend an auto-installer) dont worry about changing your drive.
to use an auto-installer first you download it and if its in rar format you unrar it then burn the iso to a disc, insert disc and follow instructions on screen. Don't sweat the burn speeds. ive always burned the max on dvd but if you are super paranoid about making a coaster then burn at slowest speed.

When putting evox dashboard on a modded x box with a xecuter 2.3b lite chip should the switch for flash protect be on or off? and also the third switch (bios swich i think) should be on A or B p.s thanks for all the help so far guys
