alright i finally bought my dms4 pro chip, and i want you guys to tell me exactly what i need to begin my game backing up process. i would really appreciate it if u did and thank u aswell so plz help me out
Well, the easiest way to back up your own original games is to get a program call DVD Decrypter. A very easy to use program that will do pretty much everything for you in terms of a basic backup. First you'll have to use the READ ISO mode to create and ISO image of the game you want to backup. After you've done that, use the WRITE ISO mode to burn the actual game onto your blank DVD-R. I usually burn at 2x speed and have never had any problems. Now if you want to be able to play a backup game online, you'll have to patch the image with a verified DNAS code from the original disc. For that, I'll leave to you to search this forum. Lots of info on it and easy to find. But for a straight backup, use the method I just wrote about. Good luck!
Use DVD Decrypter. Burn at 4x on an 8x DVD-R. Use good DVD-R's like Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, Ritek, Maxell, TDK, Sony, or Phillips. Here's a guide: http://home.earthlink.net/~moderator/id3.html You have to flash your chip with the latest version Toxic OS to play backups.
well im planning to play games online, is there a specific way to patch all games or does every game have its own unique way?
I use the WinDip Image Patcher 1.7 method. Has worked for me for all games I've tried so far and every game has connected fine and passed DNA$ without any problems. The program is also very easy to use just like the Disc ID Utility. I believe the only game that is not possible to patch for online play when backed up is SOCOM3. Good luck!
Use the method I posted above. Click on DVD Decrypter, this links to you to a free download. It's free, excellent, and easy to use.
