hi i am able to burn at 40x but not at 8x it comes out an error at 8x everytime. it will burn fine with windows media player at all speeds but not nero. it also will lose the first 3-4 seconds of audio when it does a successful burn with nero at 40x. please help here is my nero log thanks in advance. well when i burn a kvcd or some of my audio tracks i would like it to burn at 8x it just usally makes a more reliable disc. whats funny is that it used to burn fine at 8x now it will only burn at 40x and it loses 2-3 seconds of the audio track im burning. i appreciate the help i would just like to fix this problem.

ITS KIND OF THE SAME THING WITH IT MISSING SECONDS OF THE BEGINNING OF AUDIO TRACKS BUT IM USING .WAV'S AND IT HAS THAT PROBLEM. I RAN THE NERO CLEAN TOOL BEFORE INSTALLING THE UPGRADE YOU SENT ME THE LINK TO. THIS IS FRUSTRATING AND I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT. IVE BEEN BURNING CD'S FOR YEARS AND HAVE NEVER HAD THIS KIND OF PROBLEM.

- i sometimes read that CMC's CD discs aren't as horrifically bad as their DVD's but in your case the burner doesn't seem to like these discs. - see previous comment, 'medium' are discs, and your burner doesn't like them - this isn't an error in it's own right, but a symptom of other problems. Try better quality discs as everything else is now fine in your burning setup ps i always do data cd's at a max of 24x, and more audio cd's that i could ever count, at 16x max
thanks alot Creaky for your help but it still dont work. i went and got some verbatim cd-r 1x-52x and tried them but with no success and now my whole computer freezes up when i am burning and ctrl+alt+del will not exit the program i must shut the whole computer down and then restart. i do not know what is wrong. the computer im having this problem with has never been hooked up to the internet. this is frustrating.
IT WORKS.... i tried every possible option i could think of and nothing would work so i decided to start turning off features. i finally got it to work by turning off "CD TEXT" and now it will burn just fine. can anybody tell me why cd text is causing this problem? here is the new log after successful burn.
