I just learned how to copy videos to my
hard drive using a couple of tools. I'm a
novice feeling my way around in that department
and I ran into a problem. I don't know how to
an MPEG-4 file off my hard drive. How do you
delete them off your machine? The pic below
represents one of many MPEG-4's I can't delete.
I think the stubbornness might be related to
Nero as the files will play only with Nero and
not with RealPlayer or Windows Media Player. I
went into Nero's control panel and I didn't see
    an ON/OFF button.

You can use 'Unlocker' - but perhaps it might be simpler to open Task Manager to see if the some process is running that may be holding control.
Example: perhaps Nero never exited gracefully and is still running silently and just needs to be ended using Task manager - then you can delete the file as you normally would.
