I cant access my external drive

    If I go to "my computer" i can see the drive but when I try to access it, i get this error message...

    I have a ton of files on this drive that I desperately need.

    'Start' > 'Run' and type chkdsk f:/ r

    Thanks for the reply but that did not work.I am running a recovery program on it right now so I'll keep my fingers crossed.
