I can't boot into win7 on one of my first pc but if I put the hard drive in my other pc it works fine. I already have xp in the 1st pc, so why can't I boot into win7? I already tried removing all hard drives in the first pc and leaving just the win 7 hdd in there.
You need to use the windows or other dual boot utility. Since XP is already installed.... http://search.avg.com/?q=dual+boot+xp+and+win7&d=4cc891f9&tp=tab&l=en-US&v=7.007.026.001&i=26 Could be a driver issue if the two PC's have different motherboards. Jeff
I don't need that because win7 is installed on it's own hard drive, it's not partitioned with xp and 7, only has 7 on it. Anyway, i installed xp on it instead, works fine. Strange that win 7 got up to the windows logo then froze. Thanks anyway.
Okay, but if you installed win7 on PC two then try to run it on PC one and the motherboard is different chances are it will freeze up at one point or another. Different drivers... You need to purchase another license and do a fresh install on PC one. Jeff
