Well, I've got my 360 modded so I can play backups, and I'm dying to try it out, but I can't seem to burn freakin' games.

I try, and it says that the disc is not big enough.
I'm using DVD+Rs, so they are dual-layer... What could I be doing wrong?

Using iMac built-in DVD burner. Newest iMac, heard that the newer iMacs should work fine.

In Windows (on the Mac), I tried with CloneCD and ImgBurn, and both gave me the same error.
On Mac OS X, I'm trying iBurn360, which won't even start the burn.

    Any help appreciated.

DVD+R's are not the same as DVD+R DL which is what you need.
The only reliable DL media is Verbatim DVD+R DL 2.4x (MKM-001-00 dye) made in Singapore burned at 2.4x.

Ahhh, man. That's more money wasted... Crap. I bought 50 DVD+Rs, thinking they were the right thing :\

Well, thanks for letting me know.

Anything I can do with the DVD+Rs? Can I burn original Xbox games on them or something?

    Thanks

That sucks to have bought the wrong kind. But make sure to get verbs and dvd+r DL.

One other kind of random thing you could do is obviously backup movies, or if you have a wii, you could use the dvd+rs to backup wii games.

Awesome. I can play original Xbox games with them, then. Gotta go find out how to burn them...

Yeah, it does suck. Really bad. Haha

I know I could backup movies, but I just bought 100 DVD-Rs a few weeks ago.
Then I decided to mod my Xbox 360, thinking I needed DVD+Rs... I have too many blank discs.

And I've got a Wii, but it's not modded (and not worth the money and effort for the modchip with the game selection they've got).

Also, anyone know where I can find cheap Verb DVD+R DLs?
Everywhere I'm looking they're at least $1.25/disk. I realize they've got much more storage so they're gonna be more expensive, but anyone know where I can get them for around $0.75-$1.10/disk?

    Thanks

I don't have a Sams Club around me, unfortunately. Haven't seen one of those in a few years.

Besides, not looking to spend that much to start. Right now I don't have a bunch of money, so I'm just looking to get 20 or so.

    Thanks

    Thanks, but that's still $1.50/disk :\
I know, it's still really cheap -- 20 Xbox 360 games (assuming there are no screw ups) for only half the price of one game, but that's still a huge price for disks.

Thanks, though. I'll check them out, and I'll keep checking their newsletter, hoping for a sale.

    Renting is a possibility.
Don't really have any friends who've got Wiis.

Also, I'm sure you can, but there are none around where I am :\

no prob man..we're all here to help..but i'd just throw out $5 and rent zelda..mod my wii..and use those +r's for that..then you'd be all set on the wii side of things and give you something to do, until you get the money up for the DL's..

Yeah, maybe. Just can't really think of any decent Wii games.
    I've got Brawl already.

Sorry, creaky, for posting that other topic.
I forgot that this one related to Xbox Original games as well.

Anyway, here's what the topic was that I posted --

I've got a modded Xbox 360, and was wondering how to burn original Xbox games for it?

I've got Mac OS X 10.5 and Toast 9 Titanium.
If I need another application, that's fine.

    Any help appreciated.
