    Hi there - I have 2 burners in my comp - a sony crx210 e1 and a samsung dvd r/rw TS-H552B- and i cant burn cds on either - i have tried
1/using 4 different types of disc - at the min im trying to use sony discs
2/changing my NERO burning software to version 7.1
3/updating all drivers on my computer
    4/using different burning software

and I just cant get it to burn - most of the time both burners wont recognise that there is a blank cd inserted and the very odd time that either does recognise a blank it cancels halfway through- here is the log file: if anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated -I really dont know what else to try?

This error means that your CD writer isn't seeing the media. Try a lens cleaner and see if that helps.

Also, edit out your serial number for Nero!

    I've seen this before!
if these two things dont work it should be under warranty. Contact the manufacture for instructions on sending it to them to get it fixed or replaced.

    1. virus! and or spyware. Yes, it dose happen and can mess with registry on communication between your pc and your burner.
solution - Antivirus and Antispyware. Also a reqistry fixer couldnt hurt.

    2. open you pc, disconnect your burners, boot up you pc, shut down your pc, reconnect your burner, boot up your pc. the software wil automaticly reinstall the burners. uninstall the burning software, reinstall the burning software. Now try to burn a disc!

If this dosent work and you want to just go all out before returning the burners to the manufacture. Reinstall windows xp without reformating your hard drive. You will loose all you installed programs but not your files. only the applications themselves. reinstall everything you need and try it again.

if that didnt work, send the burners back to the manufactures.

if when you get them back they dont burn it could be your cabels or worse your motherbord!
