I have TEAC cd-w552e recorder and I'm using nero. I have burned a divx movie on the disk and I finalized CD-RW, now when I try to erase disk I can't. Usually quick erasing lasts 32sec. but now when I try erasing finalized CD-RW I have to reboot Windows because erazing quick erasing lasts infinite cd door doesn't want to open. I've tried full format same result. Does anybody knows now to erase finalized cd-rw? I've tried erasing with Easy Cd Creator, same result

This is one of several reasons why I don't use packet writing software m8. The price of cd-r's are cheap these days so maybe consider doing away with packet writing software. You can burn to a cdrw (unformatted) with usually no playback problems.

Try Nero burning rom& Ahead InCD m8. Program isn't a freebie but may get the job done. Easy CD Cre(a)mator is well known to cause ASPI conflicts (Direct CD) and many find ASPI 4.6 to be the most "stable" version. If by chance you still can't format then it's possible your cdrw has bad sectors. Try running scan disc on your cdrw m8.

I've tried with Nero Burning Rom 5.5.10.25, 5.5.10.35 to. Same results...but scandisc reports free space on the disc but movie size on disc is 700MB I assume disc is bad...but I can normally watch movie from disc
    Thanks for reply

Ahead InCD is the packet writing software m8. Did you download& install and try to erase your cdrw?
