I'm having a major problem with my CD-RW drive not being able to read a specific CD-RW. The error message said something like: "Processing error unmounted disc. Backup the data, and reformat." Now, how am I suppose to backup the data if I can't get my drive to read the disc? Am I misunderstanding what it's saying? I have tried several disc, and they all work, except for this one. So there can't be anything wrong with the drive. Please help, I can't afford to lose all the important info on the disc. Thanks a lot.

The disc also has some scratch, but I don't think that it could harm anything.

How about trying the 'Recover Files' option of Direct CD?

Well, I don't use Roxio's Easy CD Creator, I use Nero.

Try copying the disc with some regular CD software (like Nero), and not with InCD. I think that your CD-RW is damaged.

Good washing maneuver for a CD:
    -wash your hands
-rinse the CD with warm water
-wash the CD with dish washing liquid (for hand washing) - rub it gently from the center to outline. Never rub with circular motion.
    -Rinse the disc
-Wipe dry with soft non-scratching cloth

Dish washing liquids are very effective against grease and there for good for the purpose.

but i thought washing cds with soap will make the cd open up. You know, expand. So it won't damage it? Thanks for the advice. I will try it later.
