I have been using DVDFABDecrypter lately on movies that are hard such as Legend of Zorro, The Fog, and The Gospel. The problem is that the main movie itself will not compress on either NERO or DVD Shrink. If there is anything I should know please tell me. When I want the main movie itself on Nero it sometimes will let you just do the movie, but I wanted everything. Thank you.
Are you saying that the DVD files DVDFab dumped onto your hard drive won't compress with Shrink? They won't compress with Nero because Nero doesn't do any sort of compression... I'm not sure what you're doing. I have no idea what this means. Please be a little more specific with your questions.
When I decrypt the movie with Dvdfabdecrypter, when it is on my hard drive I then go to Nero and try to burn it with that. When I try to do the whole movie, such as special features, etc. It says that the main movie is not compressable which makes the whole dvd too big for a 4.7 GB movie a regular DVD, how do i compress the main movie so that it does fit?
I think you mean nero recode 2. I suggest trying the free 21 day trial of anydvd to break encryptions. I also recommend trying clonedvd 2. They are made by the same company and when the trials expire you can buy them togather at a discounted price. http://www.slysoft.com/en/ BTW you shouldn't even need to rip first with dvdfab decrypter or any other ripper with anydvd.
DVDFab decrypter is a whole movie ripper only, which means you'll get files whose total size can be greater than 7GB (for movies put on dual layer DVDs). If you want to fit the movie onto a DVD+/-R (DVD-5) disk you'll have to compress it, you can process the files with DVDshrink or use Nero Recode, both will compress the files to fit onto a single disk (or you can buy dual layer media, in this case no compression will be necessary).
