U cant play GT on firmware5.00M33-6. I had the same problem b4....
just update your firmware to 5.50Gen-A then Gen-B and then Geb-B2...
but u still need to decrypt the game file and run it in yishohiro's decryptor for it to work.... try updating your firmaware to B2 and then run the file you've already encrypted on your MAC.....
U also need to DL UMDGen, and extract the EBoot.bin on UMDGen...

ill just wait until someone figures it out. im sticking with m33. and i dont need UMD gen to take the EBOOT.BIN out of the iso. i got Disk Image Mounter and Disk Utility.

dude you are only neglecting yourself.
its easy to update your firmware, AND
just so you dont feel like youre abandoning m33,
you get to change the UMD driver to m33!!
    so nobody's getting alienated!!!

now did anyone fix "Cloudy with a chance of meatballs" yet??
i cant seem to get a converted file to work.

    thanks
    ant

GT won't run on the M33 driver anyway.

sorry but you are wrong, in 5.5 GEN B2, with the decrypted file already placed, you change the UMD mode to m33 instead of Sony NP9660
sorry i called it a driver, when its a mode item.

yeah I know that, but when i went back to verify that it ran,
the actual menu listing in vsh menu said "UMD mode".
so as not to further confuse people who dont know, i wanted to
    make it clear.

by the way im not a newbie here as the title under my name says
just cant figure out how they raise the darn title system!!!
ive been modding and customizing systems since atari vcs 2600!!!

still cant get "cloudy with meatballs" to run or decrypt properly, tho!!!

Could anyone help with this one:

I've upgraded the firmware (PSP2000) to 5.50Gen-B2 (the process said it completed successfully but System Information still says 5.50GenB-FULL) - is this normal?

Anyway - assuming it is ok... I then decrypted GT, copied the decrypted EBOOT.BIN into the SYSDIR folder using UMDGEN (v4) and saved the new ISO under a different name.

I then run it on the memory stick on the PSP and get the following error. Any ideas?

"The game could not be started (8002013C)"

    Thanks

for decrypting the games to get them to work on 5.0 m33-6 you need to have a look at this page

    http://pspslimhacks.com/eboot-patcher-v1-0-patch-games-to-work-with-5-00-m33-6-5-03-mhu/

it also gives instructions which are alot more simple and easy to follow than the other ones posted on this thread, i tried it with dirt 2 and it is working on my psp with CFW 5.0 m33-6, gen a/b2 is too unstable at the moment in my opinion. this way you can patch and rebuild the iso all on your computer which is much easier and faster i think, anyway give it a go and tell me how you get on.
