i dont know if anyone has had this problem with subtitles when using nero to burn. i am burning a mpeg movie file onto cd, and it burns perfectly, but the problem is that i can only see half of the words in the subtitle or else nothing at all. it seems to be the space or something.if anyone knows how to fix it let me know.

im not sure what your talking about, are you talking about the size of the file.this is my first time using nero to burn movies, so im not sure what im doing.if you could be more specific on how to get that information for you.than i can see if i can provide it.

no, not the size, but the aspect..

    widescreen or fullscreen..
if you have a movie and burned as widescreen, but you have a fullscreen, you'll only see about 80% of the screen..

but in your settings in nero, did you change the format to fullscreen or was it set to widescreen?

ok, lets start from square one...

are you using nero vision express or nero burning rom?
is your movie already encoded to mpeg2 format?
was this a downloaded movie or an original?

I'm having a similar problem, so I'll provide some information. Hopefully you can fix it for both of us at once.

I'm using Nero Vision 4. I had the same problem on Nero Vision Express as well, and upgraded to 4 hoping I would be able to fix it, but, no dice yet. I have the entire Nero 7 suite.

My movie is encoded in DivX, and was downloaded.

The aspect ratio when it plays on my computer is 4:3.

no, if you downloaded it, chances are high thats its in .avi format and needs to be converted to MPEG2 to be able to be played in a dvd player, unless your dvd player supports .avi then you dont need to encode it, you just burn it as a data disk and your set.

rather then attempt to explain the whole process, here are a few links for you to read, maybe they will shed some light on the subject.
this one is lengthy and complicated....

here is a local guide from here...

here is a good one with pics from a good buddy of mine...and since you have nero 7, it fits in perfect for you !!! BTW, nero has an update, i think your is outdated a bit..
