Was the conversion from avi to dvd set to produce NTSC (North America) or PAL (EU and Australasia) video.

Does the disk play on the PC?

Can you set the burning speed to 4x instead of 16X?

I would say NTSC, but I recently burnt some movies for my friend, they were PAL and worked fine.

When I put it in the computer it pop-up and tells me to choose a program to play it. I tried VLC and only showed as being 30 minutes long.

    I'll try burning out 4x.

Here's the original file info. Right now I'm going to convert the this current file to avi to see if that changes anything.

Convert the AVI with 'DVD Flick'.
There is an option to burn the output to disk - don't use it until you know the output is good.
The output files should be saved to a folder.
Use 'VLC' to play the contents.
If the conversion is ok, use 'Imgburn' to burn the disk (it's part of the DVD Flick Download.

Hi, this is my very first post on anything so I hope I make sense.
I have downloaded avi2dvd and had trouble with selecting the AudioStream (it was blank) but I read the forum and and saw I need to flip the Audio file (Track 1) with the Video file (Track 2). I have the answer that was given i.e. <a rel="nofollow"href="http://www.trustfm.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1856" target="_blank">http.//www.trustfm.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1856</a> but I have no idea how to get into the screen where I put this information or even when I am in the screen, where this information is supposed to go.
Can someone please help. Thank you

You don't flip anything. A warning should have popped up about 'special' characters. Just put your AVI in C: and give it a one word name, C:\Mymovie.avi.

Thanks MysticE - However, as well as this being my very first post I should have said that I was very computer stupid. I had my .avi file in a folder called DVD Rips in my F Drive. I dragged it to the C drive and it turned into a folder called Converter Output with nothing in it. When I looked again at the F drive there was the same folder called Converter Output under the DVD Rips folder and it contained a folder with the movie name which contained Audio TS and Video TS. The Video TS had a couple of things in it but the Audio TS had nothing in it. I could load the video files into nero but it would not recognise the Audio file format. What am I doing wrong? Sorry to be so dumb.

If you only had 2 things in the VIDEO_TS folder something is wrong. Forget the AUDIO_TS folder Nero doesn't even use one.
