OK I was deleting the file of evox off my xbox because i thought iot might get ride of them and it did, but in the process I somehow deleted my dashboard(the one the xbox comes with). SO now when I turn on my xbox I'm left with a screen like the one when you have a disk int he xbox right when you turn it on, the Xbox screen thing. It will play the games if I start the xbox with them in but not if i turn it on the open the tray and put them in.I just want to know if there is anyway I can get my dashboard back?

do you have a burner on your computer ? if so what type?
And try to be patient here, some times help does not arrive right away, but generally it does come through.

Ok from what i've seen slayers auto installer can fix your problem. You can either go to xbins or slayers site to get the torrent start file. after you have all the files you can make a boot disk and go from there. You should be able to rebuild your whole hard drive.

I also deleted my dashboard. this hapened becase i installed the auto installer deluxe from xbox-hq.com every thing was right and i maneged to get evox dashboard installed. i could play games and burn them onto my xbox. but when i went to play halo online i could not. it said right away start xbox troubleshouter and i could not do this because i had evox. i relaised that my connection was not statc it was dhcp or whatever but it did not give me the option to change it so i just turned of (USE STATIC IP) from the menu list this also did not work and i have know idea whats going wrong.
ive already broken one of my xboxs by deleting its dashboards and i looked on both xbins and slayers auto intaller but i cant seem to find the exaxt tutorial on making a boot up disk and recoveryery program will someone point me in the right drection.

i read somewhere that you can put in splintercell disc after your dashboard is erased and actually ftp over to your xbox and put the dashboard back on that way.

hey supamikel, in the future try not to hijack someone elses thread. as far as splinter cell you need to have those specific game saves already on your xbox. If you need more help supamikel please start another thread and I will more than happy to help.

I had a very similar problem last week after accidentally starting the build large hd slayers ai 2.6 on my retail hd, and lost my ms dash. I could only play retail games if they were inserted on powering up. I couldn't boot slayers ai 2.6. I would get an error if I didn't have a game in. So by mistake I paused a game I was playing can't remember. Anyway I turned on the tv and saw the game was paused for like a day. I hit the eject button and it went to the microsoft dash, I then immediatly copyed the splinter cell saves back to my xbox hard drive with my action replay and reinstaled the linux hack. Try that, I dont think you need to let it stay paused for a long time just the way it happened in my case. Everything is normal again. thank go I really didn't want to take my xbox back.

You can always build a hard drive from scratch upgraded or the origial, IF yo you backed up your eeprom bin. If you have that, I can try to help you if the other game pause trick doesn't work.

... its not that hard. just make an iso w/ xboxhdm burn it to a cd/dvd. pop ur xbox in ur comp in primary position, and boot from cd. then rewrite ur c/e partition. itll reinstall ur shite. rememberur hd has to be unlocked and be4 makin the iso put an xbox c and e partition in the apropriate folders. (theres a friendly user tut that comes w/ it) if u backed up ur eeprom then u dont have anything really to worry about u could just upgrade ur hd while ur at it as well.
