ok, i downloaded a movie from torrentspy.com, and did all the shit and stuff. and it saved as a iso, but when i tried to open it in dvd decryptor to put into a blank dvd, it says "invalid or unsupported image file format" so how can i get this to get by, i spent like 2 days downloading this movie, and i want this to work..lol.
That's enough to cause people to back off from helping. You can't open an ISO in Decrypter unless the ISO is in a virtual drive. That's what the unsupported format is all about. Remember also that DVDD is for DVD files (in the DVD format). You probably have AVI in an ISO file. You'll need to open the ISO in an Image Drive to see what you have. If AVI, think conversion software, Nero Vision 7, ConvertXtoDVD, DVD Santa and others.
wat do u mean by opening it in an image drive how do i do that. Its a 4 gig iso file. and i just dont know what to do.
If you have Nero there is ImageDrive. If not, check out Daemon in the software and guides section here at AD. You can open an ISO file in a virtual drive and play it like you would a DVD or CD in a physical drive. It's just software mimicing a physical drive and the ISO is the disc.
Yes everything you should need is in the Nero suite. If you need help with Nero, open a thread in the Nero section.
k, thx, and i one more question, i keep eeing that writing at lower speeds is better, does that mean that it will take longer to write?
Write speeds depend on your system and the media you're using. A lot of people are now burning at higher speeds. With my Plex and using TY media, I have no problems at all burning at 6 to 8X. I've burned even faster, but I prefer not to. Sometimes the software doesn't allow speed control. Usually I use software that allows speed control. But back to the point. With good media there's no reason not to burn at 6 to 8X. If you have a problem, just slow down. I don't think I want to burn at 16X yet. With some drives and poor quality media, some people have little choice but to burn slow. BTW, burning takes the least time in the backup process. Time a 4X burn and an 8X one and note the difference.
hey im having a problem, nero wont wrok for my computer, because my computer is really messed up. But i downloaded dvd santa, i hit the dvd image to dvd, and i opened up my downloaded dvd, and i burned it to the disc, it wrote, but when i try to play the disc nothing happens, its really weird, i put it into a dvd player and it wouldnt play, i know i did something worng, can someone show me to some dvd santa tutorials.
