    Go to walmart buy a brand new DS.

    take the broken DS and swap the Serial Numbers on the back (use a razor blade)

    replace the broken DS with the new DS and return it

    Wala brand new DS light

    wow. i would have never thought up of something like that scruffy. im not sure whether thats a terrible thing to do or genius. lol really.

    if you dont have 120 to spare and do scruffy's idea, you can get a screw driver for the ds, open it up and see whats wrong. and reply back and we will see what we can do. you can get a screw driver at various places, dealextreme.com has a screw driver for the ds that is really cheap, and free shipping. that should work, but i must say ahead of time the shipping might take awhile if your get it from that website.

    @Scruffy29

    im impressed mate about swapping the serial numbers , i would have had a go at opening it up and seeing if i could fix it but swapping the serial numbers like you say would save hours of aggro !

    Swapping the serial numbers could be a posibility....
    but i'm gonna try to open it first to see whats wrong. One of my friends says he thinks he knows whats wrong with it so he's gonna try to fix it. I hope it works.

    While I'm all for "sticking it to the man", I don't think AD is the place to discuss ripping off wally world.
