Like i said above. Normally links that open new windows. The little "clicker" cursor just stays , and you cant click anything else on the page, just goes non responsive. Need to use task manager to close it. Its internet explorrer.
Download firefox and see if that works you might have a virus or malware .Run some scans also.adaware spybot ewido.

did you update IE to IE 7 ? you will need to do that run Spysweeper and "SmithfraudFix" in safe mode also and see if you have problems
