i gave my samsung TSST Sh w162C writer to a samsung service center because i was getting a write error whenever i was writing dvds with it. i already posted the problem i had some time back with a nero error log at http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/406158 i have bought a bulk of the substandard DVDs which i agree are not very good but it is not possible that each and everyone of those dvds are bad. and when i went to take my writer from the service center under the action taken section it said "buffer replaced". would this have solved my prob or they have not done their job properly. BTW please suggest what i should do cuz i only have a week left for my warranty to be over and i dont want to pay for some major fault that my writer could have .
looking from your last post, you have not taken the advice that was given you need to use better media the last log, burned 100%,but you had the verfiy data tab ticked, which has shown some disk read errors only when you use better quality disks, will you narrow the problem down
thread teleported to relevant forum; i concur with hursty, and as i've said in the other link, following the advice already given could be the difference between getting up and burning again, or your warranty running out but at least a new burner wouldn't cost a great deal). Bear in mind that blank media is/are one of the most important aspects of burning
Now I can't understand people! They ask for advise and then disregard what was advised and still instist on using inferior products that may have caused the problem to begin with! Why are people so stubborn? "Oh I bought these disks on sale! why aren't they working?" I guess with people that don't listen to advise are doomed to let history repeat itself .... which in this case are COASTERS! Starting off with crappy media is the most significant reason why most errors occure in DVD burning... but keep using the cheap stuff (which in the long run makes their failed burns expensive!)!
