So i installed the viper chip, and when I start the machine i just get nothing, no spinning of fan, games, light. nothing.
What did i do wrong here, and is there anyway i can make it work again or is the GC fucked?

Oooops, my bet i forgot to check if the cable was plugged in.
But still, now the only thing that works is the fan.

You installed it wrong, take it apart, check all the solder point, if you have a bridge (when solder connects to points that shouldn't be connected) remove it with a solder sucker and try it again, if it's no go you toasted your GC, time to hit Wallyworld and get a new one and learn from your mistake.

WEll yeah it's most probable i've created as many bridges as in Amsterdam, it's really hard to not solder more than one points at the same time, the points are so tiny and my soldering iron is so big.
But hey i'll just have to try again. :D hope i did'nt fry it.

i've been doing this for a long time, and i have done some bridges..

Best way i found to avoid that when you have two adjecent points was to put the blade of an exacto-knife between the points , the blade takes up the extra solder, the heat doesn't transfer through and the blade is thin enough to fit between 2 close ploints such as on a chip leg..

Try that and best of luck
